LAMINATE FLOORING

Laminate flooring is based on a thin composite layer built up from several layers of impregnated paper to form the surface layer. There are many different types of laminate flooring to choose from and it is often a more robust alternative to engineered flooring. It is also a cheaper alternative to the aforementioned flooring.

Laminate flooring was designed to stand up to the rigours and demands of a busy family household and when compared to other types of flooring solutions easily outperforms in almost every category. Spills and messes are easily cleaned with a little soap and water thanks to the hard moisture and wear-resistant surface coating. We recommend using a compatible underlay (foam sheets) to offer some insulation and sound cancelling benefits. We order the required amount of laminate flooring and underlay at the same time so we can fit the whole room on the same day.

Laminate flooring (also called floating wood tile) is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring is meant to look like wood (or sometimes stone) with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer.
